Garbage and Recycling
The Village of Valemount provides a weekly curbside garbage collection service to all residents of the Village. Garbage collection containers are leased to residents for a nominal annual fee. In order to ensure proper collection of household waste, please place all garbage in the Village leased collection containers.
Annual garbage collection fees are included on the utility notice and are payable by December 31st of the respective year. If paid before March 10, an 8% discount will be applied to the annual fee.
Your collection container should be placed curbside in plain view with the lid closed, within 1 meter of the curb. Containers should be placed outside by 7:00 am on the day of collection. Containers placed after 7:00 am on collection day may not be collected.
Please do not place your garbage bins on the curb until the morning of collection day. Collection containers left our over night can attract bears and other wildlife.
Don’t know your collection day? See the schedule below.
