Online and Telephone Banking

Most financial institutions offer pay-by-phone or online banking services. Your bank account needs to be set up to conduct online transactions. Contact your bank for details.

How to Pay Using Online Banking

On your bank’s website, log into your bank account and go to “PAY BILLS”. Select “ADD A PAYEE”. In the search bar, enter “Village of Valemount”. Click “search” to view the full list of available payees. The payee name for the Village of Valemount property taxes and utilities varies from bank to bank. Select the payee name that relates to the Village of Valemount property taxes or utilities. You will then be able to enter an account number.

  • For online banking purposes, your payee account number for taxes is your roll number which is located in the top left-hand side of your tax notice. Your payee account number for utilities is the number found in the box located beside the “name” box located in the top left-hand side of your utility notice.
  • Always verify that the account number set up for your Village of Valemount property tax or utility payee matches the account number found on your current property tax or utility notice before making a payment. If the account number for that payee does not match your account number, update the payee account number with the account number found on your property tax notice, as described above.
  • Account numbers are attached to the property, NOT the owner. Please ensure that you are not paying for a property you no longer own, and update your bank records accordingly.
