LHEIDLI T’ENNEH FIRST NATION AND VILLAGE OF VALEMOUNT SIGN HISTORIC MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
September 15, 2025 – At a ceremony held at the House of Ancestors on September 5, 2025, Chief Dolleen Logan from the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation and Mayor Owen Torgerson from the Village of Valemount, witnessed by members of their respective Councils, signed a historic memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the two communities.
The MOU commits both parties to ongoing Community-to-Community meetings in subsequent years, aligning the needs of the traditional, ancestral land and title holders with the modern governance of municipal governments.
