Committees of Council

Standing committees: consider, inquire into, report, and make recommendations to Council about matters that are related to the general subject indicated by the name of the committee. At least half of the members of a standing committee must be council members.

Select committees: consider, inquire into, report, and make recommendations to Council about the matters referred to the committee by the Council. At least one member of a select committee must be a council member.

Clean Air Task Force

Committee Overview and Meetings

The Clean Air Task Force exists to explore all options to improve air quality in the Village of Valemount, and to make recommendations to authorities having jurisdiction to take positive actions to reduce negative influences on air quality in the valley.

Housing Committee

Committee Overview and Meetings

The Housing Committee exists to advise Village Council in matters regarding affordable housing opportunities in the Valemount area. The objective is to assess the housing situation and identify housing options for those demographics identified as having the greatest need within Valemount.

 

Columbia Basin Trust Resident Directed Grants (ReDi Grants) Adjudication Committee

Description

The Columbia Basin Trust Resident Directed Grants (ReDi Grants) Adjudication Committee assists the Village of Valemount in the selection and prioritization of proposed community projects to receive funding from the Columbia Basin Trust Resident Directed Grants (ReDi Grants) Program each year.
